Free writing tools for non-native English
Quick, private utilities that run entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Built for the things non-native writers actually check: length, readability, and whether the English still sounds translated.
Free tools — questions
Are these tools really free?
Yes — no signup, no word limits, no trial clock. They are small, self-contained utilities that run entirely in your browser, so they cost us almost nothing to serve. We build them for the checks non-native writers do every day; some writers later want the full editor, and that is the whole business model.
Is my text uploaded or stored anywhere?
No. Every tool on this page runs locally in your browser — the text never leaves your device, nothing is sent to a server, and nothing is stored. You can verify this yourself: the checkers keep working with your internet connection switched off.
How are these different from the Diglot editor?
The tools diagnose; the editor fixes. A checker can tell you a sentence is passive, wordy, or sounds translated — rewriting it while keeping your meaning is the hard part, and that is what Diglot does: grammar correction, rephrasing, and inline translation from your first language, in one place.
Want more than a quick check?
These tools show you what to fix. Diglot fixes it — grammar, phrasing, and the translated patterns that give non-native writing away — while keeping your meaning and voice.
